To celebrate Chup's birthday, we decided to have Swiss food. He said, it is to commemorate his birthday last year where it was spent in Switzerland. To be precise, it was spent at the railway station in Basel (Switzerland), waiting for the train that will transport us to Paris, where we were scheduled to fly back to Singapore. The photo shows the exact time when we were at the station waiting for the train to arrive.
There is surprisingly very little choice of Swiss restaurants in Singapore. So we settled to have it at "Swiss Culture" at Suntec City Mall.
I always recalled the 'Swiss Cheese Fondue' they serve to taste more delicious than the one I had in Switzerland (Zermatt) itself.
The portion is for two with freeflow of bread. The bread is average but it's the cheese fondue itself that is really rich and smooth. You would be too full to eat anything else after that.
Now back to my dinner that night. It was exactly on 30 Oct 2006.
As we wanted to try something else, we decided to skip the Fondue that night.
Here's what we had. Chick wing and popiah was complimentary. In other words, it's been priced into the cost. Ha ha!
Just by adding $4 to the ala carte main dish, your meal will be completed with soup and dessert.
For dessert, Chup opted for Tiramisu which came in a miniscule little cup and I had brownie with vanilla ice cream.

Huh? You had popiah in a swiss restaurant? Or did I read wrongly?
I was told that there are quite a few Swiss German restaurants in Singapore. But i'm not sure about quality. The swiss club isn't too bad, but I'm not sure if it's open for public.
To Chup: Happy birthday!
Nice stuff...Interesting Details...keep it up...a true melting pot if i ever seen one...
By the way...are you female or male.?.haha...
