Dollhouse

Rating: ZERO!!

Watched on 21 Jun 07 with Chup at National's Library Drama Centre. Ticket costs S$20/pax.

Hated it from the second it started till the intermission time where Chup and I went straight home...

For those who are keen, here's the synopsis (Source from Sistic)

DollHouseMabou Mines (USA) Adapted and directed by the legendary Lee Breuer, Mabou Mines DollHouse transformed Ibsen's bourgeois tragedy into a tragicomedy with a deep bite. DollHouse is an extraordinary theatrical experience incorporating romantic parodies of dance, opera and lavish declarations and gestures of melodrama. In this fascinating production the women towered over the men whose heights ranged from three feet four inches to just over four feet. The physical intensity, the emotional violence, the pained recognition are juxtaposed against humour and pathos."The whole experience is so fascinating - thrilling here, confounding there - that it must be seen." New York Times

Advisory: Contains brief scenes of nudity

Everything. The set. The way the main cast talks was very tarty and "act cute". Can't stand why they use dwarves. Can't stand everything!!!

The only thing that kept the audience from leaving was I guess the meaningless and unnecessary nudity scene at the end of the drama.
